I’ve been hauling garbage since I was a kid working with my father and grandfather. After all these years, it’s time for me to walk away. As of October 1, 2017 I have retired and sold the business to Portland Disposal & Recycling. This is the same company that I have partnered with for many years to do all of your household recycling for me.
This transition will not affect your rates or collection schedule. If you have any questions regarding service or billing through September 30, 2017, please call me at 503-285- 7020. If you have any questions regarding service or billing after September 30 th , please call Portland Disposal at 503-281- 8736. We will securely transfer all billing information over to them, so no action is required by you.
Like us, Portland Disposal & Recycling has been in business for a very long time and is locally owned & operated. You will have a new garbage truck driver, but your recycling and compost drivers will remain the same.
Portland Disposal bills every other month, so you will get billed for two months at a time. Your first statement from them will be on October 31, 2017 and will be due on November 18, 2017. Online BillPay is also available at Portlanddisposal.com. Please see your first bill for information on how to register online if you are interested in paperless, paying online, or auto pay.
Please remember that if you have set up re-occurring payments through your own bank you will need to cancel it after your payment in October for your final September bill. If you are enrolled in our auto pay program, no action is required. I would greatly appreciate your prompt final payment to Weitzel’s by October 20 th .
As I start this new chapter in my life, it is with mixed emotions that I have to say good bye to my customers. Some of you have been customers long enough to remember my grandpa and father. I would like to take this time to extend my sincere appreciation for your patronage.
